General Questions
Norstat.Network is a professional research community that connects decision-makers, subject matter experts, and senior professionals with high-quality research studies. By sharing your insights, you help shape decisions across industries like finance, healthcare, tech, and public policy. Participation is always voluntary and confidential.
We welcome professionals with decision-making responsibilities or deep expertise in their field—such as C-level executives, department heads, consultants, technical specialists, or senior managers. You don’t need to be a researcher; your practical experience is what matters.
Norstat.Network is by invitation only. You can join by completing a short profiling form via a secure link we provide (e.g., through email, LinkedIn, or direct invitation). Once verified, you may be invited to participate in relevant studies based on your background and expertise.
Yes, many participants complete surveys during breaks or schedule interviews at a convenient time. We respect your schedule and offer flexible time slots where possible.
We run a variety of research formats, including:
Online surveys (5–15 minutes)
In-depth interviews (via phone or video, typically 30–60 minutes)
Online focus groups or expert forums
Each study is matched to your expertise—no irrelevant topics, no spam.
No preparation is usually required. If a study needs specific pre-reading or information, we will inform you upfront. Most studies simply ask for your honest, experience-based views.
We primarily recruit professionals based in Europe, but many studies are open to participants from other regions as long as you meet the target profile.
Screening & Qualification
Each research study has specific criteria (e.g., job title, decision-making authority, industry, region). Screening questions help ensure you’re a good fit for the topic, so we only invite relevant participants and maintain data quality for our clients.
Your initial profile gives us a general idea of your background, but each study may define its target audience differently. Slight variations in screening help us match the right people to the right studies and maintain compliance with research standards.
If your answers don’t match the specific criteria for a particular study, you won’t proceed to the full interview or survey. You will remain eligible for future studies that better fit your profile. This is common and not a reflection of your expertise.
Most screeners take between 1–3 minutes to complete. They’re designed to be quick and focused, respecting your time while ensuring the study is relevant.
Generally, compensation is only offered if you fully qualify and complete the study. However, in some cases (e.g., longer screeners or research panels), we may offer a small thank-you even if you don’t qualify. This will be clearly stated upfront.
No. Screener responses are only used to determine eligibility. If you do not qualify, your answers are not included in the study’s results and will not be shared with clients.
If you believe you submitted incorrect info and were wrongly screened out, feel free to reach out to our support team. In some cases, we can reassess your eligibility manually.
Incentives & Rewards
Yes. We value your time and expertise. All eligible participants who complete a study—whether it’s a short survey or a 60-minute interview—receive a financial incentive as a thank-you for their contribution.
We typically offer either:
Bank transfer (SEPA for European accounts)
Digital voucher (e.g., Amazon or other region-specific providers)
You’ll be informed of the available options before the study begins.
Incentives are based on:
The length of the study
The target audience (e.g., niche profiles may receive higher rewards)
The method (interviews usually pay more than surveys)
You’ll always know the reward before deciding to participate.
We typically process rewards within 2–4 weeks after study completion. In some cases—especially for in-depth interviews—it may take up to 6–8 weeks, depending on client timelines and verification processes. If a delay occurs, we’ll inform you proactively.
In most cases, yes. When multiple reward types are offered, you’ll be able to select your preferred option during or after the study. If only one method is available, we’ll inform you in advance.
If the expected reward timeline has passed, please contact our support team with your name and study reference (if available). We’ll make sure to resolve it quickly and fairly.
No. For most B2B studies, you are paid per completed study. There’s no points system or account balance—you receive your full reward after each participation.
Privacy, Compliance & Trust
Yes. Norstat strictly adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant privacy laws. We only collect the minimum amount of personal data necessary for research purposes and always process it securely and transparently.
No. Your identity, contact details, and employer information will never be shared with clients without your explicit consent. If a study requires you to be named (e.g., for expert attribution), you will be informed in advance and can decline.
Yes, unless otherwise stated. In most cases, responses are aggregated and anonymized before being shared with clients. For in-depth interviews, clients may hear your views directly—but your identity remains protected unless you agree to disclose it.
We may verify your role or expertise through:
A LinkedIn profile
A professional email address
Company website listing
This ensures high-quality insights and builds trust with clients, but this information is never passed on without your permission.
Yes. Norstat is one of Europe’s leading providers of high-quality, non-commercial research data. We operate under the codes of conduct of ESOMAR, AAPOR, and national research associations. We do not sell products, offer promotions, or conduct telemarketing.
Yes. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting our support or data protection team. We’ll process your request in accordance with GDPR timelines and obligations.
Never. Norstat.Network is strictly for research purposes. You will never be contacted for sales, promotions, or unrelated offers.
Study Experience & Participation
You may be invited to participate in various types of research, such as short online surveys, in-depth telephone or video interviews, or virtual focus groups. The format depends on the research topic and the preferences of our client. Each invitation will clearly explain what to expect before you decide to take part.
The duration depends on the type of study. Online surveys typically take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete. Interviews usually range from 30 to 60 minutes. In every case, the estimated time will be communicated to you upfront so you can plan accordingly.
In most cases, no preparation is required. We are interested in your expert opinion and practical experience, not textbook answers. If a specific study does require some preparation or review of materials in advance, we’ll let you know beforehand.
Absolutely. Every invitation is optional, and there’s no obligation to participate. If a study doesn’t suit your availability, topic interest, or preferences, you can simply ignore the invitation or decline it. This won’t affect your chances of being invited to future studies.
If you’re unable to complete a survey or have to leave an interview early, just let us know. We understand that schedules can change. Depending on the situation and how far you progressed, we may still be able to compensate you partially, or reschedule where possible.
Since our studies are highly targeted, we only reach out when a project matches your specific profile and expertise. This means you may not hear from us regularly, but when you do, it will be relevant. You remain part of the network even during quieter periods.
In many cases, yes. If the client allows us to disclose their identity, we will share it with you in the invitation or before the interview begins. However, some studies require client anonymity due to confidentiality agreements. Regardless, you’ll always be told what the study is about so you can make an informed decision.
Absolutely. We encourage honest, experience-based responses—whether positive or negative. Your feedback helps companies improve products, services, and strategies. There are no “right” answers in research, and your professional insights are valued precisely because they reflect the real world.
Technical & Support
If you haven’t received any invitations recently, it may simply mean that there haven’t been any projects that match your profile. Our B2B studies are highly targeted, and invitations are only sent when your expertise is specifically needed. If you’re concerned that you may be missing emails, check your spam or junk folder and make sure “@norstat.network” is whitelisted in your inbox.
In many cases, yes. Most of our online surveys allow you to return later and continue where you left off, as long as the survey link is still active. If you’re unable to resume or encounter repeated issues, reach out to our support team and we’ll help resolve it or provide alternative access if possible.
If your job title, company, email address, or any other details change, let us know via the support form or email. Keeping your profile up to date helps ensure you’re matched with relevant studies and avoid being screened out unnecessarily.
You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by contacting our support team directly. Once unsubscribed, you won’t receive any further research invitations or reminders, but you’re always welcome to rejoin in the future.
If you have any questions about a specific study, your payment, a technical issue, or your account, our support team is happy to help. Just reply to the email you received or use the contact form provided on the Norstat.Network website. We aim to respond as quickly as possible, typically within a few business days.
Yes, many of our online surveys are mobile-friendly and can be completed on your phone or tablet. However, for in-depth interviews or more complex survey formats, we recommend using a desktop or laptop for the best experience. We’ll let you know in advance if a specific device is required.
If you’re unable to attend an interview, let us know as soon as possible. We understand that professionals have busy schedules, and we’ll do our best to reschedule your session if the study is still active. Missing a session won’t affect your chances of being invited again in the future—as long as you communicate with us.
For one-on-one interviews or virtual focus groups, we strongly recommend joining from a quiet, private room using a desktop or laptop computer. A stable internet connection, working webcam, and microphone (or headset) are essential. Mobile phones or public/shared spaces are not suitable, as they can affect both the audio quality and your ability to focus on the conversation. You’ll receive detailed instructions before the session to help you prepare.
Verification & Profiling
Because our research is targeted at professionals with specific expertise, we need to ensure that participants are who they say they are. Verifying your identity and professional role helps maintain the quality and credibility of our data, ensures clients receive accurate insights, and prevents misuse of the incentive system.
We use a gradual verification approach. Initially, we may only ask for a LinkedIn profile and a business email address to confirm your professional role. For more sensitive or high-value studies, we may request additional verification such as SMS confirmation, bank account details for payment verification, or identity verification through Veriff, a secure third-party KYC (Know Your Customer) provider used by banks and financial institutions across Europe.
A business email address helps confirm your company and role, making it easier for us to match you to relevant studies. It also reduces fraud and ensures that our research includes verified professionals, not consumer panelists posing as experts.
For most studies, yes—especially at the beginning. A LinkedIn profile helps us validate your title, industry, and background. We only use it for verification and will never share your profile with clients without your consent.
For certain studies or payment thresholds, we may be legally or contractually required to confirm your identity via Veriff. This protects both parties from fraud, helps us meet anti-money laundering regulations, and allows for secure payments—especially in cases where bank transfer is the chosen reward method.
No. Once you’ve gone through the basic verification steps, you won’t need to repeat them unless your role or company changes, or unless the study requires additional confirmation. For example, high-paying interviews may trigger a more advanced verification step.
All your information is handled in compliance with GDPR. Verification data is only used internally to confirm your eligibility. Identity documents submitted via Veriff are stored securely and are not shared with clients. You can request access or deletion of this data at any time.
